Older Artists Celebrated In Art CompetitionOlder Artists Celebrated In Art Competition

Age Concern Camden held an art competition for older people and attracted overwhelming interest. All the entries were exhibited last week at Age Concern’s Henderson Court Resource Centre and 12 pieces of artwork, all produced by older people in the borough, were selected for inclusion in a 2009 calendar, which will be on sale in December.

Artwork included a pencil drawing of beat poet Alan Ginsburg and friends from the 1960s, intricate tapestries, impressive photographs, as well as watercolours, oil paintings and pastels.

The 2009 calendar will go on sale in December for £2, and will be available from Age Concern Camden shops in Camden and Leather Lane, as well as the Margaret Hepburn Centre. For more information please call 020 7837 3777. Click here to read more...
